Iris

Perhaps one of the favorite flowers throughout the world, is the Iris. We are fond of them as they offer so much variety of color, and are prolific bloomers under the right conditions, The bulbs that they grow from are called Rhizomes. They are easily divided by cutting and replanting the rhizome just under the surface of the soil. One of our favorite outings is in June when we visit an iris farm in the country. The photo is of that farm.
